How Much Do Van Graphics Cost in Wirral? 2026 Price Guide

Real 2026 prices for van graphics in Wirral — cut vinyl lettering, printed graphics and combinations compared. What affects your quote and how to get the best result for your budget.

It's probably the most common question I get asked. So here's an honest answer based on 20 years of doing this on the Wirral.

Van graphics pricing varies quite a bit depending on what you actually need — the type of graphics, the size of the vehicle, the complexity of the design and whether you're going for cut vinyl or printed graphics. Here's how it breaks down.

Cut vinyl lettering and logos — from £150 fitted

This is your entry level option and for a lot of tradespeople it's all you need. Your business name, phone number, maybe a logo, all cut from coloured vinyl and applied to the van. Clean, professional, durable — Oracal 751 cast vinyl will last 7+ years on a well-prepared surface.

Good for: sole traders, tradespeople, anyone who wants a professional look without a big budget.

Printed graphics panels — from £300 fitted

When your design has more than three or four colours, gradients or complex artwork, printed graphics are the way to go. Digitally printed onto polymeric vinyl and laminated for durability, then applied to specific panels of the van — sides, rear, bonnet.

You get full colour, high impact branding without covering the whole vehicle. This is what most local businesses on the Wirral go for — it looks like a full wrap from a distance but costs significantly less.

Good for: businesses that want to stand out, complex logos, multi-colour designs.

Combination graphics — the sweet spot

The most cost effective approach for most businesses is a combination of cut vinyl and printed sections. Solid colour elements like stripes, borders and block lettering are cut from vinyl. Complex elements like logos, illustrations and full colour graphics are printed. You get the visual impact of a high-end job at a fraction of what a full printed approach would cost.

The VW ID. Buzz we did recently for a Wirral cleaning company is a good example — bold, full colour, eye catching, and came in under £800 using this combination approach.

Good for: most local businesses wanting to maximise impact on a sensible budget.

What about full van wraps?

Full wraps are a different discipline to vehicle graphics — to get the best result and the longest life out of a full wrap you really need a specialist wrap installer with a heated, dust-free environment and the right tools for the job. It's not something I offer as a core service and I'll always say so upfront rather than take a job on that I'm not going to do justice to. If a full wrap is what you need I'll point you in the right direction — but for the vast majority of Wirral businesses, combination graphics get you 90% of the visual impact at a fraction of the cost.

There's another practical reason too — a lot of enquiries I get for full wraps are on older vehicles where the paintwork has seen better days. Rust, stone chips, fading, repairs. A wrap applied over problem paintwork might look great for six months but those problems will show through eventually and the wrap will start lifting. When that happens it becomes my problem even though the issue was always the vehicle. For a new or well-maintained van a quality wrap from a specialist is genuinely excellent — but know what you're buying and who you're buying it from.

What affects the price?

Vehicle size — a Transit Connect and a Transit L3H2 are very different jobs. Bigger van, more material, more time.

Design complexity — a simple name and number takes an hour. A detailed multi-colour design with complex cutlines takes longer and costs more to produce.

Cut vinyl vs printed — cut vinyl is cheaper to produce but limited to solid colours. Printed graphics cost more in materials but give you unlimited colour and design options.

Coverage — how much of the van you want to cover makes a significant difference to material and fitting time.

How to get an accurate quote

Van graphics pricing is hard to quote accurately without seeing the vehicle and understanding the design brief. Every van is slightly different — the panel layout, existing paintwork condition, any previous graphics that need removing — all of these affect the job.
